Pottery Painting
1. Pick Your Piece!
You will find over 100 different pieces of unfinished bisque to choose from. A great first time piece is a dinner plate. It's our most popular item.
2. Plan your Design!
You don't have to be an artist! We've made it easy for you. We have idea books, stamps, stencils, stickers and carbon paper. Water-based marker disappears during the firing process, so you can draw a design. We also have lots of samples that might spark some inspiration.
3. Choose Your Colors!
We have over 60 colors of non-toxic, water based paints. Don't worry MOM, it washes out! We also have a variety of "Bumpy" paints. They are great to write names or create dots and squiggles that are raised.
4. PAINT!
Use our brushes, sponges or your fingers to create a one of a kind masterpiece.
5. Now it's our turn!
Your masterpiece will be ready for pick-up in 3-5 days. Why? We dip your piece in a clear glaze. Once it dries, we load it into one of our huge kilns. It fires for 8 hours to 1,850 degrees. It takes about 24 hours for the kiln to cool. That's the fastest turn-around time in the Memphis area.
Silver Clay
Silver Schedule - In an effort to make sure you are receiving the finest piece of silver jewelry, please call our stores to make sure a Silver Pro is available to create your piece of jewelry. Each day we will have a Pro on staff but please call to make sure it is a time that is convenient for you. We want you to create an unforgettable piece, something that you'll be proud to wear or give as a gift.
Glass Fusing
Glass Fusing is EASY!
We have all the glass you'll need to create
a very high quality looking piece.
1. Choose the base piece. 4"-12" Black, White or Clear.
2. Create your design. Frame it, fill it and design it
3. Glue it. This will hold your glass pieces where you
want them fused.
4. We fire it!
It's simple. Just try it!
How Much?
POTTERY: Our pottery prices range between $3-$75. The average price is between $12-$16 which includes: dinner plates, cereal bowls, large mugs, picture frames, an assortment of pieces in our children's section and many more.
STUDIO FEE: Our studio fees are $5 for children 12 and under, $7 for ages 13 and up and a helper fee of $3. The helper fee will be charged to parents that want to "help" their child paint their piece. This fee will also be applied to any painters that are sharing a piece of pottery. One person will be the primary painter at regular studio fee pricing and the additional "helpers" will be charged $3.
REMINDER: We want to remind parents that we encourage children to do their own artwork. We believe you will appreciate their artwork years later and understand that age appropriate painting is what you'll cherish. We wonder how Picasso's work would have looked if his mother or father "helped" him with his technique?
Creative Crew Club

We now have a younger version of our Dish, Dine, Paint, & Wine Event that we are calling "Creative Crew!"
$35 plus tax 6:30-9pm
For creative kids in 4th grade or up.
Creative Crew was designed for our creative youth that want's to experience a step by step, fun activity that involves the many different products we offer at Paint a Piece. We will have Domino's Pizza to help get our creative juices flowing. You must register in advance as space is limited. Please call either of our locations to guarantee your Creative Crew a spot!

Story Time for Kids!
Are you looking for a creative learning experience for your toddler or preschooler? Story Time at Paint a Piece is your answer. Join us on our Story Time rug and we will escape to fun places in our imagination. Afterwards, we will
Paint a Piece of pottery to remind us of our adventure. If you decide to paint other pottery during your visit, you will receive FREE studio fees. Below is a list of dates, locations and book titles we will enjoy.

Family Ornament Platter
The latest in dishing with your girlfriends while eating, painting and drinking your beverage of choice! You don't have to be an artist! This class is designed for the beginner. You bring the snacks and sips and we'll have everything you need to create an amazing piece. Our Paint a Piece staff will give you step by step instruction to create our project. 4th Thursday Dinner Series
On the 4th Thursday of each month, Paint a Piece will be hosting a workshop so you can create an entire place setting!
Beginning January 26,2012, pick out your favorite shaped dinnerware and we will show you how to create a modern place setting for four.
By the end of 5 months, you will have 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 bowls, 4 cups and a matching platter.
On this evening, you will only be charged for the pottery. The workshop will be from 7-9pm. Please call the studio in advance and we will reserve the style of dinnerware you would like to paint.
Field Trips
Paint a Piece has been going on field trips for almost 12 years to area schools and daycares. There is no mess because all of our paints are waterbased.

This is a great opportunity for students to create one-of-a-kind gifts for someone special. We bring everything to you! All we need is access to a sink. The school cafeteria is ideal!
There is no mess! Our paints are water-based and non-toxic so clean-up is easy.
We can personalize your field trip pieces for an additional $1 fee. We will write the childs first name and year. You must call at least 2-3 weeks ahead of time in order to insure supplies arrive on time. If your school is more than 20 miles away from one of our locations, you will be charged a travel fee. Depending on the distance will determine the charge amount.

Hand/footprint designs: Come in to one of the studios, let us help you paint the prints and then WE can finish it for you.
We have several designs to choose from or we can help you create a special piece from scratch.
Signature Platters are great for teachers, weddings, birthdays, retirements or going away gifts. We can paint a piece of pottery, glaze and fire it and you take the piece with you along with a special pen for people to sign it.
